3rd class were delighted to welcome local artist Amanda Bentley Curran to their class this week in conjunction with the Kerry museum. The school were one of four local schools chosen to help celebrate the feast day of St Brendan. As part of these celebrations, 3rd class created a papier-mache “sea monster” and a collage showing St Brendan’s connection to Ardfert. Be sure to come along to Fenit this weekend to see their masterpieces on display in the community centre! There are lots of child friendly activities organised over the weekend. You might even be lucky enough to make some “flying fish” with Amanda on Friday evening.
